Product Details

Glutamate Dehydrogenase (GLDH) is an enzyme used in liquid and powder laboratory reagents. Our GLDH is extracted from Bovine Liver using multiple precipitation, fractionation, and filtration steps to produce a product of the highest quality, stability, and batch to batch consistency. Glutamate Dehydrogenase can be used in a number of applications including:

  • Determination of Urea in conjunction with Urease
  • As an indicator enzyme in the detection of serum GOT/GPT
  • In the determination of ammonia

What does Glutamate dehydrogenase do?

Glutamate dehydrogenase (GDH) is a hexameric enzyme that catalyzes the reversible conversion of glutamate to α-ketoglutarate and ammonia while reducing NAD(P)+ to NAD(P)H.
