Parathyroid Hormone Monoclonal Antibody
Parathyroid hormone (PTH), also known as parathormone or parathyrin, is a polypeptide containing 84 amino acids. Only the first 34-N-terminal amino acids are required for effective hormone-receptor interaction. Low and high levels of PTH can indicate hypoparathyroidism and hyperparathyroidism, respectively. Various rare diseases affect PTH metabolism. PTH can be measured in the blood in different forms depending on the clinical situation: intact PTH, N-terminal PTH, C-terminal PTH and mid-molecule PTH.
